Men and their disclaimer
I can't believe I'm actually blogging this. I don't think this merits an entry but I know one day, when I look back on my blog, I would laugh at this.
So, there's this mobile game that I've recently tried - QuizUp. The game is like a quiz bee-who wants to be a millionaire sort of game where you get to play online with a random player from around the world and get to choose any category. I chose Human Body, being a nurse, I was pretty confident on it. I had the chance to play with a guy from India, whose level is way above mine. I was like level 2 beginner, and he's like 20+ something, a total gamer. We had a really great game going, the game's always a draw and no one wants to lose. Until on the 3rd game, I lost for 1 point.
To cut the story short, I was surprised to see his invite on Facebook the next morning (so cliche). He sent me a message in Quizup, asking if we can be friends and since he's quite the intellectual one, I accepted his invitation. He turned out to be a medical student in Calcutta, 3rd year and he asked me if I'm a doctor because I played really well (haba ng hair). I said no, I just had a brief background with health and sciences.
Fast forward few days. Heto na, he's sending feelers, suddenly started asking personal questions, stuffs that would give you goose bumps.
The guy is an extremely cool guy, only a little annoying sometimes. If I would rank him (which I unintentionally do silently on other guys), he's above average.
Future career (cardio surgeon) - check!
English proficiency - check!
Face value - check!
Background/culture - flat silence
Ok, I'm not a racist. I just don't know if I'm open with the idea of roti, frequent curry, smelly places (or people). Funny thing is, I actually contemplated on this and I was able to visual a life fast forward 5 years after, living in India, cooking curry, wearing Indian clothing and everything.
The mere thought of it gives me chills, seriously.
Maybe some people are okay with it, but I don't know.
Enjoy your coffee.xoxo
