farewell Barney

It's gone.
This is the first time that we've lost a dog.
The rest of my family members, especially my youngest sister,
have been silently grieving and blindsided by sorrow when our
most loyal dog died late this afternoon.
Some probably would think that I am overreacting and might say,
it was just a dog.
Oh well. I couldn't care less.
Barney has been with us since I was in Grade 6 and until today,
has been our most loyal "bantay" of our home, my sister's playmate, my brother's "alaga-cum-pakain" and my best buddy which never failed to wait for my arrival every night to greet me with it's wagging tail.

It's easy when it hasn't happened yet but somehow, after 9 years that it has been with us, I have mentally prepared and accepted that it won't be long before Barney finally retires.

I know all things has it's own time.
I just don't know that his will be today when even the weather seem to match the ambiance.

I will miss you.

There are times when even the best of us have trouble with commitment, and we may be surprised at the commitments we're willing to let slip out of our grasp. Commitments are complicated.
We may surprise ourselves by the commitments we're willing to make.
True commitment, takes effort, and sacrifice.
Which is why sometimes, we have to learn the hard way, to choose our commitments very carefully.

I am sorry bez. I can't.
It's not about you, it's 'bout me.
Today, everything which happened are nothing but happy.
